A lot of help seekers may not know what general information is helpful and often essential for troubleshooters to answer their questions and where and how to find it.

Luckily Windows 98\Win98SE\WinME\Win2000, all, have a tool, Msinfo32.exe that contains a lot of valuable information.
The easiest method to access Msinfo32.exe in Windows 98\Win98SE\WinME\ and copy the information is as follows:

1. Click Start, click Run, type msinfo32.exe in the Open: box, and then click OK.

2. On the Microsoft System Information window the Left pane will show System Information already highlighted, if not, click to select it.

3. On the menubar, click Edit> Select All>Edit>Copy to select and copy the contents of Right pane

4. Paste on a text editor like Notepad/WordPad or Word processor like MS Word and save with a file name compspec

5. Any time you make a post in the Forum, open the file, copy and paste the information at the bottom of the message as your Computer specifications.

Note: You can find a lot of useful additional hardware and software information from the same tool.

If you dont run the OS's like above, at least provide the following information:
- what exactly do you do when the problem occurs, in very small steps.
- what OS are you using
- what is the speed of your processor
- how much RAM do you have
- if the problem has anything to do with the internet: what is your connectiontype, what is your browser.

I hope this will help everybody to make sure their questions CAN be answered instead of saying: "HELP, i got a problem with my browser, it doesnt work". :-)

Look at the above post!!!
What os?
What ram?
What speed?
When did the error first occur?
Did you install programs, uninstall programs? etc etc

Invalid page faults are so common that it is almost impossible to give a solution when no details are given..

Niels.

Michael...I had the same problem...(trying to get on the internet..only to get the error message...not able to find server..I did some research on some of the error messages regarding rundle/rundle32 as well as newdot.net. From what I can tell, when I downloaded Kazaa, newdotnet was installed on my computer as well as webhancer (web-cancer) to some web observers...After reading about spyware and how to get rid of it...i unistalled Kazaa..I downloaded adaware...I think that I did not fully understand how adaware works and might have deleted some somefiles that I might have needed...also...in reading info on webhancer..you cant delete the files from windows explorer..you must delete it from start/settings/control panel/add/remove programs...I was able to find a program to re-install on my computer webhancer...called webhancer customer companion...once I installed this program..I was able to get back on the internet..read about webhancer/spyware/adaware and kazaa on the internet...since I can get on the internet I am not going to do anything to disrupt it...good luck...

Hi
Try using the selective start in msconfig. When you have identified the offending programme, un-install and re-install it and then update the drivers if available.
