Setting filters is rather straightforward. You just block out certain email or only accept certain email. The hook here is that you may inadvertently block an email coming to you that you might have wanted. The price we pay. Rather than doing "blanket-block outs" we have to be a bit more specific and block out the ones that are bothering us at the moment, and then just add to the list...if need be. This will keep the incoming channel as pure as possible. You just never know what you will receive. We will give filtering examples again using Netscape Messenger and Outlook Express. |
